Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the Chevington Village Civic Association?
The Chevington Village Civic Association (CVCA) is a homeowners association. It has been incorporated as an Ohio not-for-profit corporation as provided for in the restricting covenants attached to each deed in the subdivision. It is governed by a Board of Trustees who are elected by the members (basically all lot owners) and serve staggered two-year terms. Trustees are elected at an annual meeting (usually each May) to replace those whose terms have expired.

  2. What does the CVCA do?
The CVCA is an association of and for the homeowners in Chevington Village. Its guiding principle is to represent the community interest as a whole. The association’s primary tasks are to maintain CVCA infrastructure such as the entry gates and greenspace. The CVCA also pays for the entryway lighting and can intervene in deed compliance issues. All residents are encouraged to participate in your “civic affairs” and discuss matters of concern with the trustees. Active participation will serve to promote Chevington Village as a great place to live and prosper.

  3. Why is Chevington Village sometimes referred to as Easton Village?
Conceived in the early 1970’s, the subdivision was planned and remains identified on legal paperwork as “Easton Village”. The developers changed the publicly known name to “Chevington Village” for marketing purposes (They were very successful marketing the Chevington Woods North and South subdivisions). Our subdivision of 220 lots (in 7 sections) has been commonly known by this name ever since.
